Top Tools for Social Media Scheduling
My Favorite Tools for Social Media Scheduling
Face it, social media is constantly changing. Long gone are the days of posting from your phone and crossing your fingers hoping to see results. If you want to start seeing measurable results, you’re gonna need to seriously step up your social media game.
What’s one good way to step up your game? Try optimizing your workflow! A proper social media workflow takes the guessing game out of when, where and what you’re posting, and it allows you to keep track of which messages produce results from different platforms.
I suggest trying out of my top 3 recommended tools for social media scheduling. I’ll break down why I like these tools and what they’ll cost you.
CoSchedule
I have tried a few different social scheduling tools, but I can easily say I haven’t liked any of them as much as I’ve liked CoSchedule. CoSchedule integrates with all of the social channels you need (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even Pinterest), and it has an incredibly handy mobile app for social scheduling on the go. It’s hands down my most recommended social media management platform.
One of my favorite features is the “best-time” function, which essentially picks the best time to schedule out your messages (on each platform!). Not only is it a great tool for scheduling and monitoring social media, CoSchedule provides some basic analytics for those looking for some more data insights.
Overall, I highly recommend this tool for my clients and for others looking to manage multiple accounts.

Planoly
If your marketing strategy revolves around Instagram, Planoly is going to be your new best friend. Not only is it a great tool for scheduling multiple Instagram posts at a time, it is also a great tool to build your feed to match your brand aesthetic. Planoly is an absolute dream for those who need to visualize the work they’re doing before pushing anything live.
Depending on the subscription tier, you even get analytics and comment moderating abilities, right in the app! Although it may be tempting to stick with the free forever plan, if you want to utilize videos and gifs in your feed, you’ll have to upgrade to the Solo plan.

Buffer
In terms of social scheduling tools, Buffer is actually one of the very first platforms I used, professionally. With super-easy integration features, robust analytics and of course, a nifty mobile app, Buffer is one of the more well-known tools in the digital marketing world.
Luckily, if you’re hesitant about trying a new way to automate your social media, there’s a great free plan. You can sync up to 3 social profiles and schedule up to 10 posts/account including videos and gifs. Obviously, if you’re trying to schedule on more than 3 platforms, you’re going to want to upgrade to the Pro account (allowing for 8 social profiles).
Overall, Buffer is a solid choice for those wanting to test the waters with social automation without investing much money upfront.
